Seng Tiang was privileged to have been also coached by other world renowned musicians and singers such as Rudolf Piernay, June Anderson, Zhou Xiao Yan, Li Xing Chang, Derek Anthony, Angelo Marenzi, Loh Siew Tuan and Maurizio Colacicchi, leaving a deep impression on them.
Seng Tiang’s stage repertoire is extensive, covering various oratorios and opera classics. His operatic roles include Cadmus (Semele), Billy (Rise and Fall of town Mahagonny) Gugliemo (Cosi Fan Tutte), Alfio (Cavaliera Rusticana), Angelotti (Tosca), Don Cairo & Morales (Carmen), Marchese (La Traviata), Fiorello (II Babiere di Siviglia), Cascada (The Merry Widow) and Dr Blind (Die Fledermaus). He has also played the role of Adam in The Creation by Haydn under conductor Anthony Walker, and sung as solo baritone in Handel’s Messiah under Paul Baker. He also appeared as Bass solo in Beethoven No 9 Choral in Penang Music Camp as well as with National Symphony Orchestra at Istana Budaya under the baton of Muzafar Nawi.
As a recitalist, Seng Tiang has performed in numerous concerts around East and West Malaysia, Indonesia. Singapore, Hong Kong and also Japan, receiving rave reviews from the public. His most recent appearances include a charity solo recital at the Mont Kiara International School and the HSBC Classics Opera Extravaganza2011, Georgetown Festival’s Penangites’ Home Coming Concert 2012 at Penang Pac, Chan Loke Han Music Foundation Fund Raising Concert 2012, Yellow River Cantata with PSO in 2010, 2012 in Bentong and 2013 in Jerantut.
Often hailed as a teacher with a Midas Touch, Seng Tiang is also well known for his extraordinary teaching skills, having the ability to diagnose and solve virtually any issue regarding singing. He is now principal of Vocal Talents Music (VTM) which he co-founded in 2004 till 2022. The school has been instrumental in nurturing new singers and young tutors, many of whom have made a name for themselves in the classical singing fraternity.
我国著名男中音演唱家及资深声乐家。 1988年赢得全国艺术歌曲比赛冠军后则以全额奖学金进修演艺文凭毕业于香港演艺学院，师承已故国际著名歌剧演唱家Michael Rippon .就学期间，曾受院方颁发杰出青年音乐家奖，并获得香港中西区艺术歌曲公开赛冠军，也在香港大会堂与文化中心演唱巴哈清唱剧和香港艺术节玫瑰骑士歌剧演出。
92年夏天，在全球性声乐好手选拔中脱颖而出的代表我国及香港演艺学院参与了在日本北海道札幌市举行的第二届国际太平洋音乐盛会，在美国著名指挥家Michael Tilson Thomas 垂爱下演唱了Songfest 及Chichester Psalms .同时在导师Paul Sperry的指导中呈献多场的巡回北海道音乐会。
承钿也曾在多位世界级的声乐大师及歌唱家门下学习。其中有已故周小燕先生，黎兴昌，June Anderson, Rudolf Piernay, Deraek Anthony ,Angelo Marenzi, Loh Siew Tuan , 以及Maurizio Colacicchi, 皆对承钿留下了深刻的印象。
回国后，谢氏多次的和Singapore Lyric Opera ,Malaysia Lyric Opera , Istana Budaya,KLpac合作演出多部的歌剧，清唱剧和音乐盛会,间中当然也少不了举办个人演唱会以慈善筹款方式捐助独中和回馈社会。
承钿也是一位热心教学，深受学生们欢迎的声乐导师。至今，已有众多学生现于古典声乐同界中略显成就。承钿曾经从事于国家艺术学院，马来亚大学文化中心音乐系，马拉工艺大学演艺系及音乐系，马来西亚艺术学院执教声乐多年。在2004- 2022年开办Vocal Talents Music 声乐学院 , 培育青年声乐导师和歌唱新秀的工作，从而也开办了多次的师生音乐会
